OUR IONIC LIQUIDS
A toolbox with new ionic liquids discovered in our group includes:
- Peroxymonosulphate ionic liquids used as oxidation agents in the synthesis of lactones;
- Hydrogen-bond-rich ionic liquids used as effective organocatalysts for Diels-Alder reaction;
Acidic ionic liquids:
- Protic ionic liquids based on nitrogen bases and sulfuric acid with anionic clusters as Brønsted acidic catalysts for esteryfication;
- Triflometallate ionic liquids as Lewis acidic catalysts in the chromane syntheses and for for the conversion of a-angelica lactone to levulinates;
A new method for the rapid synthesis of lactones via one-pot oxidation of alcohols with peroxymonosulphate was developed.
