We have inaugurated the new cycle of seminar meetings in our group! During the first LAMA meeting (Laic Approach for Major Aspects (of science)), our PhD student Anna, prepared a presentation concerning major aspects of enzymes application in customized processes. Anna selected a topic directly related to the area of her PhD thesis, showing less known but very promising applications of enzymes in chemical processes. Meetings will have the form of ‘journal corner’, where members of our group will be selecting an inspiring paper and sharing their scientific enthusiasm with the rest of a group. Anna chose the paper ‘Enzyme promiscuity: mechanism and applications” (Trends in Biotechnology, 25, 2007, 231-238).
